Course Objectives	At the end of the course, students are aimed to learn integrate the current evidence-based theoretical knowledge acquired in the course of surgical diseases nursing into patient care in the preoperative, intraoperative, postoperative period. Provide skills in decision making, critical thinking, problem solving and nursing care management.
Learning Outcomes	The students who succeeded in this course; Will able to analyze patient data in the preoperative, intraoperative, postoperative period and provide proper nursing intervention decision-making. Will able to explain the reasons of nursing interventions using knowledge of physiopathology in the preoperative, intraoperative, postoperative period nursing care. Will be able to apply nursing interventions by evaluating the effects of surgery on patient and family. Will be able to use current evidence-based guidelines in patient care. Will be able to be sensitive legal and ethical issues in meeting the nursing care needs of a surgical patient.
Course Description	This course includes the development of nursing care management in the fields of General Surgery, Orthopedics, Chest Cardiovascular Surgery, Neurosurgery, Urology, Ear Nose and Throat Clinics, Emergency Departments, Operating Room and Intensive Care Units, which are the fields of surgical nursing and theoretical knowledge.
